What a weird fucking week in this country. While things continue to degrade, we continue to try and bring some sunshine via these records for you and yours. KEMS sets it off with some dancier things including ATC favorites Dego & Kaidi. It's so impressive how these cats have completely carved out a sound of their own. He also plays some classics from Patrice Rushen and DeBarge which are always winners.
rap79 then takes the reigns and calms things down a bit so we can get meditative and reset for the back half of the show. He plays a track from the Master Wilburn Burchette record which is really cool and advertised on the record as meditative music, but the shit is a bit intense for meditation. He then gets deep in the jazz bag with tracks from the likes of Soft Power and Griot Galaxy. He closes the show out with Fat Cats, Bigga Fish by The Coup. Stone Cold Classic. You're welcome.
